Baked Honeycrisp apple, blueberries, and spices make a delicious dessert that tastes like pie filling.
This sweet treat is vegan, gluten-free, paleo, and Whole 30 friendly.
I love this nutritious, guilt-free dessert! I have such a sweet tooth so I need a dessert every day. This is perfect because I know I’m giving my body some nutrients while treating myself.
Ingredients:
Apple berry bake with an almond flour tortilla “crust”
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (wash the fresh berries before baking)
1 large Honeycrisp apple, diced
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons melted ghee, butter, or coconut oil
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Line a baking pan with parchment paper (8x8 or larger)
Place diced apples and blueberries in the pan and spread them out in one layer. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over the apple mixture; add melted butter, ghee, or coconut oil.
Stir this mixture a few times to make sure everything is incorporated. Flatten everything back to one layer before baking.
Bake in a preheated oven until apples are completely softened, for about 20 minutes.
Take the mixture out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before eating.
